Abstract:Studied show that the Notch signal transduction pathway involves intheregulation and control of cell proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis. Aberrant Notch signaling can induce breast cancer in transgenic mice. High expressions of either Notch receptors or their ligands have been linked to poor prognosis in patients withbreast cancer. Inhibition of Notch signal transduction pathway maybe beneficial forbreast cancer treatment.
