TGF-β signaling pathway can regulate cell biological activity and play a bidirectional regulatory role in the development and progression of cancer. TGF-β signaling pathway can cause the occurrence and development of ovarian cancer through various processes including inducing cell excessive proliferation, influencing tumor microenvironment and regulating immune evasion. Targeted therapy with TGFβ as a biomarker for ovarian cancer provides a new way to improve the prognosis of patients.
