TGF-β signaling pathway can regulate cell biological activity and play a bidirectional regulatory role in the development and progression of cancer. TGF-β signaling pathway can cause the occurrence and development of ovarian cancer through various processes including inducing cell excessive proliferation, influencing tumor microenvironment and regulating immune evasion. Targeted therapy with TGFβ as a biomarker for ovarian cancer provides a new way to improve the prognosis of patients.
